A Different Kind of Therapy

Therapy with me begins with reinforcing your own agency, and developing a radical kind of love for yourself.

These are the foundations upon which everything else stabilizes. This is how we get your wild heart to the forefront of your life.

Maybe you’ve felt aimless, lost, or like you couldn’t possibly effect the change in your life that you want to see. Maybe you’ve been taught to see yourself as powerless against the tide of supremacy culture, capitalism, and mental illness. Maybe you’ve been taught to search for quick fixes, and that would make sense: society wants us to believe that such things exist.

But for a heart broken by supremacist society, there are no quick fixes.

The great news is that the path to a happier self is just a combination of skills and decisions that we make over and over again until new neural networks are formed in the brain. The news that is harder to hear is that rediscovering your spirit asks for patience, and persistent, determined repetition.

Consistency in practicing these skills is great, but what’s more important is learning how to gracefully return to the task when the task has gotten away from you.

Everything in life moves in waves.

Feeling better doesn’t mean much if we collapse the moment we start feeling bad again.

Good therapy teaches us how to move with these waves, make peace with these waves, and see this deeply human experience as miraculous, even when we’re smack dab at the bottom of the wave.

Supremacy hides this inner knowing from us.

Supremacy disconnects us from the act of relating in healthy ways: to ourselves, to others, to the earth, to the world around us, and to the cosmos.

We can remember how to be in right relationship.

Wild Heart Therapy is here to help you with the remembering.
